FCP7 on a Macbook

Before Lion was released, I attempted to install FCP7 on a Macbook Intel Core 2 Duo and it told me that FCP7 did not work on a Macbook. If I recall correctly, I was told by an Apple Store representative that the Macbook was not powerful enough and that a Macbook Pro was required. I couldn't return FCP7 (actually Studio 3) because it had been opened. I bought Final Cut Express for my Macbook.

I have now installed Lion and just tried to install FCP7/Suite3 again. As if by magic, it installed without complaint.

Has Lion somehow transformed my Macbook into a Pro model?
